• 8:10 Kids can enter classrooms. We will unpack and do review: Morning work.
• 8:20 Pledges/ Attendance / Morning Work
-check morning review work as a whole class
-rotate jobs. Each child has a class job
• 8:35 Phonics / Calendar (L.A. & Math)
- number of the day, subitizing, word families,
- morning message and grammar, etc...
• 9:15 FIT Time & Literacy Centers (Language Arts /
Differentiated Assignments / Reading Groups)
- different groups of students do work geared
towards meeting their needs while the teacher
and volunteers work with small groups and
guide them in reading practice.
•10:05 Language Arts (Reading Street Curriculum)
- literary elements, reading skills.
•10:30 Brain Break (First Recess)
•11:15 Guest Reader / Handwriting
(Handwriting Without Tears Curriculum)
•11:35 Writer's Workshop
-we will be using the Lucy Calkins writing
-share writing with class. This is done on a
•12:20 Math Big Lesson (Pearson Math Curriculum)
•12:35 Specials (PE, Art, Music)
•2:00 Snack / Story Time (Magic Tree House Series)
•2:20 Stack 'N' Pack & (Rotating) Science and Social
•2:45 Friendship (Developmental) Centers
- working on developing good social skills
through collaborative play/work.
•3:15 Recap the day
•3:20 Walk to bus, car or after school care lines.
Library Time: 11:15 on Fridays
Specials rotate on an A day, B day, C day schedule.
Our specials rotation is daily from 12:40-1:30:
A days: Art with Mrs. Dunning
B days: P.E. with Mrs. Lewis
C days: Music with Mrs. Woodbridge

Our Fantastic Class:
This list helps when sending out birthday invitations and Valentines. I ask that if you'd like birthday invitations distributed at school - then the whole class should be invited, (otherwise there are many tears and hurt feelings). If you can only invite a few - then please make prior arrangements to mail or email them. Thank you.
The 'B' or 'G' next to each name stands for 'Boy' or 'Girl.'
